Our baby girl

Just wanted to write a quick note to let everyone know what's been going on. There have been lots of questions & it's emotionally tiring to go over it again & again, so I thought I'd put it down once & be done with it.
Thursday, I wasn't feeling the baby move much, but I went upstairs & used the pocket doppler that I had bought. I was very uneasy & nervous this whole pregnancy & went ahead & bought the doppler to reassure myself & hear her heartbeat. I found it right away, beating along at 146...everything was fine. Thursday evening, I went to bed & had some contractions in the night, nothing new for me. Friday morning, I got up & cuddled on the couch with the boys & didn't feel any movement. I had a granola bar & some orange juice & watch another Little Einsteins episode with the boys. After that, I went upstairs & tried my doppler again. I looked for 10 minutes & couldn't find her heartbeat. I called Cheryl to talk me down from my panic. She encouraged me to go to L&D. I called Corby at Red Flag & told him about it & he told me to do whatever I needed to & to let him know. I called L&D & they told me to come in. I found Wanda & Megan together having lunch & Wanda came over watch the boys & Megan drove me to the hospital. We couldn't find a heartbeat on the monitor & 3 Dr.'s did 3 ultrasounds & couldn't find a heartbeat. Corby came over in time for the last ultrasound. They started my labor on Friday afternoon & sent me home to sleep & be with the boys. I went back to the hospital on Saturday afternoon & got the induction started. I was in labor for about 22 hrs. After 2 failed epidurals & a morphine PCA that didn't work I delivered a beautiful, perfect little girl.
Hadley Linden Carlson was born March 15, 2009 at 1216. She weighed 2lbs 2.5oz & was 16in...big girl for 27 weeks. She was perfect...there were no knots in the cord or cord around her neck. We don't know what happened & we may never know. Corby & I were able to hold her & keep her with us for about 4 hours that afternoon. We have pictures & handprints & footprints & hand & foot molds. We don't know why this happened, but we know God's will is perfect & we are resting in His perfect will. We know she is in a better place & we have a peace in that.
We came home Monday & we are doing ok...the boys are helping us get back into our routine. We are still taking time to grieve & for some reason 5 am is a REALLY bad time for me. We are working through it but we will never forget our little girl. She is such a special blessing even though we don't have her with us. Thank you to everyone who helped with the boys, to everyone who brought meals, to every text & phone call, to everyone who sent flowers, to everyone to thought of us & prayed even if you didn't know what you were praying for. You all helped us to get through this time & will continue to be a blessing as we recover. Thank you...

You have been amazingly strong during this time, you have encouraged me when I should have been encouraging you. Truly, you and Corby's faith and trust in God is an awesome testamony. I know words must seem so empty, we love you and are continuing to pray for you - only wish I could do more to be a practical help.
