I have been sadly neglecting the blogging world. I would like to apologize to anyone who still reads this! We have been busy & enjoying an extended period of Corby being home. So, my last post was for Halloween...let me try to sum up the last 6 weeks.
Corby went to Germany for a TDY in early November. He was only gone a week, but I ended up with a quick trip to L&D while he was gone. Everything was fine, just a little contracting, but I was 26 weeks, so they wanted to make sure. He enjoyed Germany & brought back some fun stuff for the boys.
The rest of November was a whirl-wind of Dr appts for Kincaid & I. I go for non-stress tests every Tuesday & Friday & also on Friday, I see the Dr for a quick ultrasound. Everything is going very well except for some contractions, but there is no progress from them, so for now, we're good. I failed my 1 hour glucose test so I had to do a 3 hour glucose test...UGH! I passed the 3 hour test so I don't have gestational diabetes, but the test was no fun. I had an 18 hour fast & was stuck 4 times. Yuck! We also had been looking for a slightly bigger vehicle to replace the saturn with. We needed one that would fit all 5 of us comfortably & accomadate the double stroller as well. We ended up buying an 06 Ford Expedition. It is wonderful & has all the space we were looking for. We traded the Saturn & Corby is now driving the Mountaineer.
We spent Thanksgiving with my friend, Lil, & her family. Lil's husband is deployed & her mom & brother came out for the holiday. We had a wonderful time even though the boys didn't eat a thing!
The first week of December, Ryan Clark came out for a conference & was nice enough to bring Kelli with him! We had 5 fun days while she was here...without her kids! I hope she was able to relax! We celebrated my birthday yesterday & I can't believe this is my last year in my 20's! I have finished both of the boys scrapbooks & am ready to start on books for the years we've been married. The boys got me a scrapbook organized for my birthday, so now, I can wheel it out & have everything in front of me.
Braylen has moved up to 5T pj's & clothes & I can't believe how much he is learning. He is coming up with new stuff everyday & keeps me laughing with the things he says. He has started to constantly praise us & tell us "you did it!" & "good job!" all the time. He has given up naps, but is still resting in the afternoons, usually with me in my bed :)
Tucker is as stubborn as ever & we are trying to work on potty-training with him, but he isn't too into it. He has inherited Braylen's clothes which are a little big, but it works. I can't believe he will be 3 in less than a month. We moved Tucker into Braylen's room just over a week ago & so far they are handling it well. They love to be together.
Kincaid continues to be very active & has actually bruised me! I have very tender parts of my belly in some places that he kicks. His clothes are washed & ready & his room is set up. All I need is his bedding & we'll be ready for him to arrive.
The Christmas tree is up & everything is bought, wrapped & ready to be shipped. The boys are getting a train table & an aquarium as their big gifts. Hopefully, they don't break the train table by jumping off of it & take the fish out of the aquarium. Braylen has already put toys in for the fish to play with. I am currently 31 weeks & 4 days & we are hoping to get through most of January before Kincaid arrives. I'll continue my twice a week NST's until he's born, so that's my schedule for the next 7ish weeks. The boys have a babysitter who comes to stay with them while I go. They had to go with me last week & Bray kept crying because he thought he was getting a shot (the boy has a good memory!) They are excited to listen to the baby & see him on the ultrasound, but other than that, they don't really seem to notice much. I'm sure that will change when he's here.
So, now you are caught up on the happenings at the Carlson house...exciting, huh? Things will get much more exciting in the weeks to come!
