So, seeing as Kincaid is now 2 months old & my last post was on his being born, I figured it was time to get back to the world of blogging. Ok, where to begin? My mom went home when Kincaid was about a week old. Corby was off for the weekend, then went back to work, leaving me ALL ALONE! It actually wasn't too bad. I'm very thankful that Braylen & Tucker are so independent & play so well together. Kincaid is a wonderful baby & is acutally sleeping AT NIGHT! Shocker, right? After that first week alone, Corby's mom came in for about a week & we had a nice time on her first trip to Vegas. Not too much sight-seeing, but we did make it down to the strip for the Nascar parade of haulers. She arrived on Sunday & left on Friday, just after Kincaid turned 3 weeks. I had given up on breastfeeding after about 10 days, so Corby & I were able to go to the Nascar race the weekend after Corby's mom left. It was the first time I left Kincaid & I missed him! Wanda & Corey came over & watched all 3 boys & Corby & I had a good time.
Kinciad's 2 week appt showed him at 7lbs 15oz & 21 in. So he gained a little bit of weight & grew an inch! Everything looked good & he transitioned to formula very well. He started sleeping a little longer at night too, so everyone is happy. He goes for his 2 month appt in a few days, so I'll update his stats then. He has been sleeping very well lately & will go 5-8 hours at night most nights. He has started rolling himself from his belly to his back when he does tummy time & then gets mad about being on his back! He continues to love his swing & the sling & really is a wonderful baby.
Corby had to go TDY to Alburquerque (I know I spelled that wrong) for about 10 days in mid-March. It was a last minute TDY & although I was ok with him being gone, he was gone for Hadley's birthday, which was hard for me to think about. I survived, with a day of distraction by the boys & Wanda, & it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He has another TDY coming up tomorrow, but this one is only 4 days, & he is going to Alaska in just under 2 weeks. The boys & I will be flying to STL while he's in Alaska, so hopefully the flight goes well & we all have a great time.
Braylen had his 4th birthday while Corby was in NM, so we pushed back his party & had a jungle themed party at the house. He had a great time playing with his friends &, of course, having Happy Cake. He had his 4 year check up & was 43 inches & 38 lbs. He's 90+ percentile for height & 50 percentile for weight. I need him to gain those last 2 lbs so I can change his carseat to a seat belt booster! He is way past the height requirement & his harness is WAY below his shoulders. He had to have 3 shots, which went better than when he watched the last time Tucker had to have a shot.
Tucker is having surgery next week to fix his testicles. I'm a little nervous, but it is necessary & I know he'll be fine. He, obviously, has no idea & doesn't seem too concerned about it. He has been potty training & is doing really well now. He still has his accidents, but they are getting fewer & farther between & does really well when we are out of the house. He seems to have his accidents at home, so I am thankful for that, although, I do A LOT of laundry these days.
I am enjoying the boys & the times that Corby is actually home. I am also very involved in MOPS & love it. I am a table leader this semester & am really enjoying it. I am also super excited that Cheryl, one of my best friends, & her family are moving out here in just a few short weeks! I can't wait. We haven't lived in the same area since we were in San Antonio. She has an almost 4 yr old boy, Noah, a 2 yr old boy, Josh, & a 6 month old girl, Addison. So, our familys are extrememly similar & I can't wait for them to be here.
So, Kincaid is 2 months old, Braylen is 4, Tucker is having surgery, Corby is going TDY & I am getting ready for company...that just about sums it up! Happy Easter everyone!
