August

We have been busy enjoying the summer these last few weeks.  We haven't made it out on the boat much due to Red Flag here & Red Flag Alaska.  We found out Corby will be deploying in November.  Braylen is starting PreK in a week, Tucker is having his tubes replaced on Sept 8 & Kincaid has started crawling, pulling up, has 2 teeth & is eating like a pig.  I am busy getting ready for MOPS to start again & enjoying the boys & our time together as a family.  Corby came home from Alaska last week & will be home for another few weeks before heading out for training.  My mom & dad will be here for Labor Day weekend & we plan on getting in lots of boat time while they are here.

Braylen is so excited for school to start that we had to make a countdown sheet for him & we have his first day of school & my mom & dads visit on it.  The big boys love checking off the box everyday.  He will go on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 12:30 to 3:00.  I really hope he loves it & learns a lot.  He is definitely ready for school!

Tucker had his routine visit to the ENT a few weeks ago, & his right tube continues to be clogged.  Since this is the ear that he has had the infections in, we decided it would be best to replace his tubes.  He has only had 2 infections since we had his first surgery 15 months ago & both of those were on the heels of a visit to the midwest.  We were very excited that after this most recent visit he didn't get sick!  He will have them replaced on Sept 8 & it should be a very quick procedure.

Kincaid turned 6 months old this month & it has been a big month for him.  He was army crawling / inchbug crawling when we came home from IL but within 2 days time (all of course while Corby was in Alaska) he got his 2 bottom teeth, started crawling & started pulling himself to a stand.  At his 6 month appt, he weighed 16 lbs 7 oz & was 26.9 in long.  He is growing well, but has dropped a percentile.  It could be because he is so active but he also is a big spitter.  He spits up a good portion of every bottle & changing formulas & adding thicker foods hasnt helped.  He is on Zantac right now & goes back on Monday for a follow up.  It has stopped the acidic smell of the spit up, but not the quantity.  We may need to try a different acid reducer.  We will find out on Monday.

While we were home for our cruise, Brody, my nephew, had his second birthday & my mom had a photographer come out.  Here are some pics that she took.
