Big Park

We had a nice day today... We walked with Kelli & Reagan to the "big" playground near the main gate on base. It had 4 different play areas, swings, a see-saw & rocks (always a big hit). The kids had a blast running around & playing. We had lunch at Kelli's & headed back for naps. Corby was home before they were up & they were thrilled. He just has his outprocessing checklist to complete & he isn't scheduled for anything besides that, so he has been home very early these last few days. Corby had his check-ride in the simulator today & is officially an instructor e-dub. I don't know who he is going to instruct over the next few years, but it is another bullet point on his AF resume & will eventually help him out. Tonite we moved the boxes from Kelli & Ryan's that we had been storing there for the last 2 months. Hopefully, we can fit everything into our vehicles, but we may be hitting up Fed-ex. Tonite, I had my last spouses social. It was a little sad, but the socials are so different now than they were 2 years ago, that it's not too hard to leave. There were more new faces than faces I knew, which is a good thing, but I didn't feel that overwhelming saddness to not be a part of the group anymore. I was able to spend time with my girls (Kelli, Melissa, Nicole, Amanda, Suzi, Alicia & Barbara) who have all been here at least 2 1/2 years & we were the minority. It's odd to go from something I was so involved in & was a lifeline when we first moved here, to hardly meeting & not knowing anyone. So, now Corby & I are ready for bed, so I'll say goodnite for now...
