WOW!

So, we left Minot on Sept. 25 for our move to Las Vegas. We drove to Cody, WY & spent the night & saw the Buffalo Bill Museum (Buffalo Bill was a cowboy & showman for those of you, like me, who didn't know. The next day we spent in Yellowstone. We saw hot geysers, Old Faithful & 2 buffalo. We spent that night in West Teton, ID. The next day, we drove to Salt Lake City & were exposed to their homeless situation (the park across from the hotel was full of them. The boys couldn't even play on the playground). Finally, we drove to Vegas our last day. While we were on the road, we were informed that we would not be closing on our house the day after we arrived as expected. We could not get keys until Friday instead of Monday. We checked into TLF (another 1 bedroom) & tried to get semi settled. We signed papers on Monday & were told Monday afternoon that we would get keys on Tuesday! So, we moved into our house on Tuesday afternoon. We had already pushed back delivery of our appliances & household goods, so we had a week without anything, but we are finally settled. We have been painting & installing ceiling fans (well, Corby has). We have had no problems, except for when the boys decided that the bucket of paint looked like fun & were up to their elbows in Behr Caramel Sundae. The bad news is, it's all over the carpet in the loft & our bedroom. It also got on their blankets (gasp)! Hopefully, it will come out in the wash or I can swap blankys without them knowing! Almost all the boxes are unpacked, they boys have their toys, I've been cooking in the kitchen & we are all sleeping in our own beds. The hard-drive on the computer crashed last week, so we backed up & sent it off to be replaced & finally got it back today. So, I have no pictures right now, but I'll fix that soon. So, Corby is back to work & the boys and I are trying to get into a routine. We have a big loft that is in between their rooms and our room. We have a couch & the daybed/trundle in that room with a tv & dvd player, so they play unstairs most of the time. Everyone is healthy & doing well. The weather is different. It's hot & 100 one day and windy and 66 the next. We are just enjoying not having snow in the middle of October this year! Well, the boys are in bed, Corby is playing PS3 & I'm going upstairs with a book. Just wanted to let you all know that we are back "on the line" & will be updating frequently.
