Ahh, Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving 08 at home in Las Vegas with Corby's sister, Beth & his cousin, Jason. Beth is at Grad school in New Mexico & Jason lives in Pasadena. Beth flew in Monday afternoon & spent the week with us. Jason drove in on Thanksgiving Day & spent the night with us. We have had a fun week with Beth. Tuesday, we went grocery shopping & had lunch with Corby on base.
Wednesday, I had an interview for a per diem position at one of our hospitals. I think the interview went well, although they said they are wanting someone for nights. I really don't think working nights right now is something that would be good for our family, but they seemed to act like they could be flexible & try to get me on some days also. I should know next week if I get the job. I really would like it... its a busy hospital with a great layout, AWESOME pay (twice what I made in Minot) & they even contract out with 24 hr daycares & give daycare reimbursement. So, we will have to wait & see.
Thursday, we decided to do a Thanksgiving dinner instead of the lunch that my family usually does to give Jason a chance to drive in. He arrived just after 12 & the turkey was already smokin. Braylen came downstairs soon after Jason arrived & stopped, pointed & said "Ohh, who's that?" Then he went up & hugged him. Wednesday & Thursday must have been Vegas' rainy season, because it was 50 & rainy, so the turkey took a little longer than expected. Beth & I got everything else ready & we almost had a vegitarian Thanksgiving, but the turkey got done in the nick of time! The boys ate early & we sat down around 7, so it wasn't too bad. Dinner was wonderful & it was great to spend it with family even though we weren't home.

Friday, Beth & I got up & did a little shopping. We picked the boys up & went to lunch at ESPN Zone on the strip & went to the Shark Reef Aquarium at the Mandalay Bay. The aquarium was great! Tucker fell asleep before we went in (it was already 2) & stayed asleep until the last part. He woke up in time to see some sharks, jellyfish, octopus, & sting rays. Braylen, of course, LOVED it. He ended up not napping & was wonderful. He really took to Jason & became his buddy. We had a great time. Jason left after that to go back to California & Beth leaves on Saturday afternoon, so it will be a little lonely for the next 2 1/2 weeks since Ange went back to Minot on Wednesday. We are looking forward to going home to visit & see how big Brody has gotten. We are hoping to see Corby's family in Rockford while we are home as well. So, hope you all had a good Thanksgiving & we'll see a lot of you soon!
I also added the ultrasound pics since we got a new scanner/copier/printer. They are on the previous post, "Just 1".

I love that it looks like Tucker and Braylen are trying to get in with the boxers in the picture! Glad you guys had a great turkey day!
