TDY...again

We were looking forward to having Corby home for the whole month of June, but the AF had a different idea. He left on Saturday morning to go to Lincoln, England for a TDY. He will be home next Saturday & we will have 2 weeks before we go home for BRL & a lengthy visit. Verizon doesn't have towers in England, so we haven't talked to him since he left, but I have gotten a few messages through my friend Wanda. Her husband, Corey, is on the TDY too. The Thursday night before Corby left, Tucker got sick right after we put him to bed. He ended up having a tummy bug that he passed on to the rest of us. Braylen got sick Saturday before we left for the airport & again in the car just as we were dropping Corby off. The rest of the day went downhill after that. I'll just say I was SO glad we have a steam cleaner! Yesterday the boys seemed better with no vomiting or diarrhea, but I got an email from Corby saying he was sick. I'm feeling a little queasy today, but not as bad as the boys were & not as bad as it sounds for Corby.

We've had an issue with Braylen occasionally playing with his poo-poo when he's going potty. He smeared it all over the bathroom a few times. We locked the bathroom doors so he couldn't go by himself & that just increased the number of accidents he had. So, we are back to letting him go on his own & we really haven't had a problem in the last week. I keep trying to get it across that poo-poo is "uky" & "we don't touch our poo-poo". I really don't know what to do & never dreamed of having this problem. Hopefully, it's just a phase that he grows out of soon!

Tucker had seen the ENT again a few weeks ago & got the all clear. He is able to bathe & swim & we go back on July 1 for another recheck. I think this is the longest we've gone without antibiotics in the last 3 months. It's wonderful. He seems to be talking more clearly since his surgery. Corby says he doesn't notice, but I understand more things & he is talking more, so I think we made the right choice.

I got a call from my midwife & was told that the chromosome studies that were done after Hadley was born were all negative. All my bloodwork from then was also negative, so there was nothing wrong with either of us. So, we don't need to worry about recurrance in future pregnancies...my chances of it happening again are about 3%, the same as it is for every pregnancy.

Our neighbor came by Saturday afternoon to borrow Corby's wheelbarrow & informed me that we have a Black Widow under our front door! Yuk! I have also found 3 more roaches since then, so we have a bug guy coming tomorrow afternoon. Everyone says they are very common out here, especially in neighborhoods where there is a lot of construction (there are 3 new houses being built across the street). I don't care how common they are, they gross me out & the spider scares the crap out of me & I know it will do the same for Corby when he gets home. I'm not taking chances of that spider getting in the house!

So, that's about it for us lately. We are going to the drive-in movie tomorrow to see UP with Wanda & swimming at the Y on Thursday with a friend from MOPS. Not as exciting as London, but sunnier!
