Catching Up: July

Wow, I can't believe July is almost over!  It seems like we just headed out on our househunting/vacation trip & we actually left the last day on June!  We left Vegas & drove to Shreveport  to look for houses.  My parents met us down there to help with the boys while we went out with the realtor.  We looked for 3 days & were getting very frusterated by the last day.  In the middle of these 3 days scouring the Shreveport/Bossier City area, we had a wonderful 4th of July at Cross Lake with our good friends Patrick, Melissa & Luke.  We finished up the night with a BBQ at their house & a TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR...it was fantastic!  Finally, the 3rd to the last house we looked at was a winner!  I don't have a picture to post on here but as soon as we move in, I will add one.  4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2000+ sq. ft, good school district...whew! After we signed a contract we headed up to IL to visit with family & had a little surprise homecoming party for Corby.  We had dinner with his college roommate & his wife & kids & then he got together with 2 more of his close friends at the party.  We celebrated Brody's 3rd birthday & then headed to BRL (Black River Lodge).  Corby's family has been vacationing there for 25(I think) years.  Somehow, I have hardly any pictures from Shreveport & STL but I'll post the few I have & the rest are BRL.
