20 week Ultrasound

20 week belly pics

Today I had my 20 week ultrasound. Corby found out on Friday that he couldn't go...he had a meeting for Red Flag that couldn't be moved. I scrambled & got Crystal to watch the boys for me (thanks Crystal) & went alone. We decided that we would have the US tech write down what the sex was & put that & the pics in an envelope & we would open it together when Corby got home. Once I got to the hospital, I realized that it was a good thing that no one came with me. No one was allowed in the room until after the initial exam (45 min). The last few min, Corby would have been allowed in. The boys couldn't have gone with me & also weren't allowed in the room until the end & I would have had to reschedule if I would have taken them. So, I'm thankful that Corby's schedule got changed, it would have been miserable for them to sit around. I was in the exam room for about an hour & 20 min. For the first hour, I stared at the ceiling while they did the measurements. When the tech looked the first time, the baby had it's hand between it's legs. He did some more measurements & looked again & it had it's legs crossed. I twisted, turned, rolled & poked...nothing would move this child. So, we dont know what is in there. I'm handling it better than Corby. He was really disappointed that he couldn't come to the appt & was even more disappointed that we still don't know the sex. The baby looked great on ultrasound. It measured at 19 wks 6 days, so only 1 day off. It weighs 11 oz & the tech said it was in the 43% for growth as related to my LMP. I don't really know what that means, but he said everything looks great & it has really long legs. Imagine that? I feel another 22 incher coming on! So, the boys behaved at Crystal's & I think Corby will not be able to stand waiting another 18 weeks or so & we may be heading downtown to get a 4-D ultrasound before too long! You can see the profile, the arm & the foot from the crossing of the legs
